CNC: Darwin, Metrist, Secret Guest ;)

Posted by Blake Leigh on

It’s celebration time! We’re back next month for another session at Sugar Hill, an important night for us - celebrating 3 whole years of Club Night Club!. Please join us in marking the milestone in true CNC style; with an all star lineup of old friends flying in for a big one. Back at our favorite venue in New York City, the iconic Sugar Hill Supper Club, get ready for a multi-room blow out going late into the night, with a couple of very special surprises planned... We hope to see all of the lovely humans who have supported us over the years together on the dancefloor - this is going to be a special one.

Tickets are live now and we expect this to be another sell-out event, so snag them quick before they’re gone! This party was re-scheduled from mid-January ‘cause of Omicron (boo). With the numbers so high in NYC it seemed reckless to go ahead with the event. Due to the re-schedule the lineup has changed a little bit, with certain touring schedules unable to accommodate the switch up. Pariah and Bruce are no longer visiting sadly, but both will be back on a CNC lineup within the year. Despite this, we have lined up some wonderful replacements…

Warming things up we have two hours of CNC co-founder Significant Other setting the pace for the night. Expect some early dubbed out weirdness and broken sonics, getting the room right for our first international visitor of the evening. None other than London’s own Metrist. We’re mad excited to host the Timedance/Where To Now? affiliate’s North American debut outing. Known by all heads for his unique weaponization of sound design across production and DJing alike, expect something truly norty and disturbing in equal measure. He is joined in good company on a bill consisting entirely of artists we have been wanting to showcase for a very long time.

Next up, old friend and Reef mama extraordinaire Darwin is gonna be rocking the main room through peak time. For various pandemic related reasons, this will actually be her CNC debut! Despite it being her first time playing the party, she’s an old friend (who actually released Significant Other’s first ever record) and it seemed fitting to get her over for a family affair! Another DJ with a prolific party rocker record, Darwin is also an artist with her roots firmly planted in UK dance music. Her sets incorporate various influences that span Dubstep, Bass, Breakbeat, and showcase a lifelong commitment to the craft. Expect major sub bass punishment.

For the sake of fun, our final guest is gonna remain a secret until the night of the party. Closing out the show we have a veeeeery special guest coming to town, someone we have been waiting to host for as long as CNC has been running. Rest assured, our mystery guest is a titan in the world of sound Club Night Club has tried to push in Brooklyn since day one, and we are over the moon to have this surprise in store for attendees…

This event is very meaningful for us. We feel incredibly blessed to have such a great crowd who return time and time again for Club Night Club. Throwing parties is a lot of work, but with such a lovely community behind us, it is always a pleasure. Thank you for three years, and here’s to many more!

Tickets are now available on Resident Advisor via the link above. There will be a limited number of tickets on the door, but we would urge you not to sleep on the presale. Again, we expect this event to sell out and would urge you to grab a ticket asap if you want to secure entry to the party. The final release tickets for our last event were a little pricey. Throwing the kind of events we do we have to adjust ticket pricing according to the costs of each party. Rest assured, wherever we can we seek to keep our events as affordable as possible for all attendees, and for this one tickets are gonna be significantly cheaper than the last.
